After winning the competition for a new public library in Dornbirn, Austria, Dietrich Untertrifaller has constructed a round pavilion with a unique façade covered with “books”. Inside the building are flexible spaces designed for digital education and for readers of all ages.

Architecture, the pandemic and the future of design: Dominik Philipp - Dietrich | Untertrifaller

In only a few months, everything has changed completely. Even the world of architecture. In search of possible new scenarios, Floornature opens the discussion of a new approach to design for a time of public health emergency, publishing a series of interviews with architects all over the world. Dietrich Untertrifaller + Tekhnê: Alice Milliat Gym in Lyon

As part of the ZAC du Bon Lait which transformed the 20th-century working-class neighbourhood in the south of Lyon, Dietrich Untertrifaller and Tekhnê have designed the Alice Milliat Gym. The frustum-shaped roof and straw insulation are the strengths of the glulam structure.
